Meet Cari

Hi, I'm Cari!

I'm a traveling portrait & editorial photographer, based in West Tennessee. I have the joy of making new friends and pursuing stories all over the country. My love for storytelling was fostered in my childhood backyard growing up, and has bloomed into a lifetime pursuit of stories and honest joy. If you're looking for a photographer to capture the tiniest of details, candid in-between moments that stitch together a seamless story, and an abundance of tender feelings - - pick me! I’m in the portrait business because I just love people. Helping others feel accepted, heard, treasured, and celebrated is what my life’s work is about.

Aside from my portrait sessions, I’ve published work with National Geographic on a regional project, Jackson VIP Magazine, Validity Magazine, Our Jackson Home Magazine, Kentucky Bride, Nashville Lifestyles, Arkansas Home, Sanseido Book Publishers, and many more! Most of my work centers around portraits, editorial photography, nature-centric fine art photography, and making a small businesses vision into tangible imagery. No story is too small and no place is too far away.

I think it’s important to know not just what your photographer has accomplished, but also who they are! My husband Rob and I live in a sweet small city in between Memphis and Nashville, and spend most of our time trying to squeeze in as much travel as possible. I’m currently teaching photography as an adjunct professor and deeply enjoying the creativity and energy that being around students brings to my own life. Rob and I enjoy living in our midtown neighborhood, eating dinner with our neighbors, growing vegetables, playing games, and trying to find time to make art.

It’s a really good life we’re living, and I’d love to get to know YOU! Fill out the booking tab and let’s chat!

PS… I choose not use AI for writing or responding so everything you’ll read and receive from me will be from my own brain!
