Mentorship

Mentorship

We are at our best when we’re living in community, alongside others with a similar vision and different skills to bring to the table. Photography and entrepreneurship is no different. We all have individual giftings and insights in our creative endeavors, and I would love to come alongside you and help you foster creativity, confidence, and a thriving portrait practice. If you’re just trying to take better pictures of your family or travels, or if you’re thinking about trying to pick up some extra income with a photography job, I can help you explore better methods for all levels of photography. Let’s grab coffee for a quick chat about gear and organization, or let’s dig in for a semester of fellowship and really build your business from the ground up. Wherever you are in your portrait photography journey, I would love to hear about it!

“Community is first of all a quality of the heart. It grows from the spiritual knowledge that we are alive not for ourselves, but for one another.” - Henri Nouwen

Coffee Dates

This Winter, I’ll be offering coffee chats on select Tuesdays and Thursdays at Turntable Coffee! We can talk gear, camera settings, editing, anything you’d like! You can book one or several of these chats, and you’re welcome to bring a friend! This is a great entry level meeting, if you’re not quite sure what you need.

Manual Settings Class

If you’ve gotten some practice under your belt and you’re hoping to learn some more in depth understanding of how your camera works, and have no idea where to start, start here! We’ll sit down and go over the gritty details and then walk around and take some photographs together to practice!

Mentorship Semester

If you’re already beginning your journey into booking clients and are ready to dig in deep and invest in yourself and your business, I’m here for you! We’ll meet once a month for 6 months, and I’ll be available for weekly chats, questions, and assistance for anything and everything you need! I’ll also come along to a session or wedding with you as your assistant for real time backup and encouragement! Mentorship Semesters also include meetings with other area professionals to go over systems, editing techniques, accounting and book keeping, and all of the ins and outs of running a business.
