Brittany & Brandon

Deep in the heart of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, we woke up to a beautifully foggy and crisp morning - perfect for a day of celebrating! Brittany & Brandon are two of the warmest souls you could ever dream of working with. They chose to get married at the Inn at White Oak, a gorgeous bed and breakfast owned by Brittany’s mother! This allowed them the freedom to take their dreams to the next level with decorating and design. Brittany said she had all these big plans and ideas, and was wondering if they were going to translate well on the day of. And boy, did they!! Every single detail came together, with the help of so many friends and family members, to create a remarkably beautiful space. Brittany and her mother hand made her stunning wedding gown AND every one of the bridesmaids dresses!! Yes, you read that right. OH and also all of the flowers, table decorations, and a million other things. They really did it all, and didn’t skimp a bit on the fine details. The colors and intricate flowers had me swooning all day! I wish you all could have been there to hear Brittany’s sister’s Maid of Honor speech. As Lou, the videographer, remarked - I would seriously pay money for that kind of comedy! It was genius. Following the first dance, Brittany and her mother gave an honorable tribute to her late father, leaving us all in tears with full hearts.

Brittany and Brandon were brimming over with joy, and it showed through their excitement and generous spirits. I could go on and on, but hopefully these images will speak for themselves. I’m proud of you two, and honored to have been by your side on this wonderful day!! Now come visit me in Tennessee!

Zanthia + Caleb

Sweet September wedding season is in full swing, and this weekend I was in Blount Springs, Alabama for a pretty, intimate wedding at the beautiful Blount Springs Chapel. Zanthia & Caleb had a lovely ceremony and spent the day with the people closest to them who traveled from near and far. Surrounded by hills, lakes, and streams, the venue had a vintage elegance, almost as if time has skipped right over it. Zanthia and Caleb both share a love of nature, and felt like they were able to fulfill all their hopes and dreams for their day with this perfect spot. They reached out with just a few weeks to spare, and I’m so glad they did! More to come!

Maggie & Chris

I’ll just go ahead and let you know that I won’t make it through editing their wedding without tearing up all over again. Chris and Maggie are two of our dear Nashville pals. Chris and his siblings grew up with Rob in grade school. Their families are very close, and have the sweetest friendship. Maggie was a Nashville transplant from Colorado, who I quickly loved because of her warm smile and hospitable soul. I don’t know if the world is quite ready for the love (and delicious treats) that will pour out from the Hare home.

They wanted a purely documentary wedding experience, which was a joy for me. I got to watch the beauty unfold in front of me, and felt none of the Southern pressures for posing and poise. The day started with a tender breakfast with the ladies, then we moved to a park right down the street where Maggie and Chris go on walks together. Every aspect of their ceremony and reception was centered around their values of honesty, depth, hospitality, and community. It was an honor and a joy to tell your wedding day story, my friends. I can’t wait to share the whole day with you!

Allison & Abhay

Allison & Abhay's wedding was a PARTY. The two day wedding weekend started with their Hindu ceremony at the Sri Ganesha Temple (Check out the mini preview on my Facebook page! Full preview coming soon!). Being able to witness two families and cultures coming together in such an intentional way was deeply encouraging. I realized how often we focus on just the couple and forget about the joining of two whole families! Both of their ceremonies celebrated the legacy of faith, culture, and joy they have both come from. They included so many thoughtful details that helped acknowledge their families who weren't able to be with them, and the many little things that brought them together. Saturday's ceremony was held at Green Door Gourmet, and I can't say enough flowery things about how wonderful this venue is. The staff was a joy to work with (shout out to Briana for being the best), and the grounds were gorgeous! To top off the whole day, Abhay rode into the ceremony on a scooter surrounded by drums, music, and a crowd of dancing friends and family. If you weren't planning on viewing the whole preview for some silly reason, at least scroll down to see his entrance! It was incredible!! We danced and laughed the night away, and I just had the best time with them and their wedding party. Both Allison & Abhay are the sweetest and most thoughtful people you could ever be around, and I'm so thankful I got to spend the day with them!! Many thanks to the amazing Kristi Woody for assisting me!
