Shea & Natalie {March 16, 2019}

Wow - this one hit me straight in the heart. At every wedding I usually have a moment where I’m practically in tears because of how much I LOVE all of the tenderness and joy that surrounds people on their wedding day. I just can’t help it! But this wedding in particular sunk me to the floor. Mostly because Natalie and I have been friends since she was in middle school, when I joined the new tiny church her family was starting. And Shea and I are kindred feelers who became fast friends right from the start. I think we all knew they were meant for each other long before they did, which has made it really fun to watch them grow together and make plans for forever. Not to mention my love for the whole entire wedding party - some of my best pals, sweetest sister, and new friends! We had a true Downtown Jackson party with the ceremony at our church, City Fellowship, and the reception around the corner at the Aneas Building. They created a beautiful charcuterie table with handmade boards by Shea’s grandfather (much of which had been greatly enjoyed by the time we got in there) along with chocolate milk and donuts, cake, coffee, and LaCroix - - what more could a human need?? No one danced harder than the kids, who showed us our age real quick by never tiring of the tunes.

I just really love every one of you all and count it such an honor and a privilege to have this job. Enjoy this little feelings fest! More to come!

Allison & Nick

Let me just start this post by telling you that Allison and Nick are fabulous and incredibly multi-talented. Allison HANDMADE her gorgeous, jaw dropping wedding dress AND Nick's golden suit! All of it. By hand. While planning a wedding and working full time. Can I get a round of applause?? I mean just look at them.

Ahem. I'm fine.

Both of them were a sight to see, but because they're fabulous, they also booked a venue with a breathtaking view and access to See Rock City! Grandview at See Rock City has a beautiful indoor space, and the outside terrace looks over all of Chattanooga. It kinda makes you wobble a little when you walk down the hill. It's situated right on the side of the mountain immediately next to See Rock City. After the ceremony we walked over to take their portraits on the cliffside while the guests enjoyed drinks on the patio. The swinging bridge was definitely swingy, but they were bold enough to tackle it and I was shaking with excitement by the time we were finished.

I'm so excited to show you this quick little preview and I'm thrilled to get started on the rest!

Bryana + Scott

Things I love: Eucalyptus, rivers, fields, tacos, woodland cabins, fireflies, dancing, and more dancing.  Bryana + Scott's wedding HAD ALL OF THOSE. Heaven on earth, people. We prayed all week for the rain to hold off, and we were gifted the most beautiful skies and a wonderfully cool evening.

If you've planned a wedding, been to a wedding, or have ever thought about a wedding you must know just how much work it takes to bring ideas from dreams to reality. Bryana is a graphic designer and Scott is a musician who knows how to throw a party, so the two combined their powers and added an army of friends and family to help them make it happen. They rented a beautiful Air BNB tucked away in the river valley of Leipers Fork, and created a space for their reception in a little wooded grove. String lights, candles, and a well situated disco ball lit up the evening and set the mood. Everyone, the wedding party, family, friends, videographers, and of course Bryana and Scott were seriously the best people to work with.

You may think that all of this is too good to be true, but hopefully the photos below show you just how whimsical, joyful, and love-drenched their day was. It was a true joy to tell their wedding story, and get to know their friends a family. Three cheers for clients turned friends!

Andrew + Ariel

Andrew and Ariel are two of the most peaceful humans you could ever meet. Their wedding day effortlessly floated along, and even though it was a scorcher of a day, they were content to just know they'd be married by the end of it. The Cumberland House is a gorgeously revamped historic venue right next to downtown Jackson. Everywhere you look you see beautiful exposed brick and ivy, and a million little details to catch your eye. And don't even get me started on the white washed bridal suite. Incredible. Cumberland House owner Kathi Leatherwood, was such a gracious host, and made us all feel right at home!

I adore shooting weddings for friends for a lot of reasons, but let's be real - - I'm just there for the dance party and Anna Witham's little bites of potato heaven (see picture below). This weekend reminded me yet again why I love what I do. Enjoy this preview of what is to come!!
